What Is Remote Tank Monitoring, and Why Do I Need It?
One of the many ways New England Propane goes above and beyond to ensure our customers’ complete satisfaction is by offering remote tank monitoring. It is a value-added service that provides accurate reading to ensure you will never run out of propane.
For years, New England Propane, like so many other providers, offered automatic delivery – and we still do, of course. Our customers often ask us why they would need remote monitoring as well, and we are happy to explain the differences and benefits.
Our automatic delivery service is based on your historical fuel usage and the weather. We calculate when you would need a delivery based on your average usage, and schedule as needed. Compare that to driving your car, knowing that you average X miles per gallon and usually need to fill up once a week.
Tank monitoring gives us a real-time look at how much is in your tank. Maybe you had company staying with you and the extra hot water usage for showers, laundry, and dish washing used more propane than normal. Maybe you use propane for commercial and agricultural properties, and fuel use is not always consistent. With tank monitoring, we know when your tank is running low, and have set customized levels to make sure you get the fuel you need when you need it. Going back to the car analogy: you may usually need to fill up once a week, but with your dashboard fuel gauge, you know for sure when you need gas!
